Part of Acura's lease states that they offer a waiver of excess wear and use charges up to $1,500:

Does anyone know if excess mileage charges can count towards this $1500? (e.g. could you get up to $1,500 in over-mileage waived)? Or does this only count towards small things that may need to be repaired (e.g a small ding, etc)?

The excess waiver only counts toward wear & tear items like scratches and dings (both interior and exterior). It does not count toward excess mileage, tires, or other "normal" wear items.
