new RDX competitor - 2010 Cadillac SRX?
Cadillac is downsizing (and presumably reducing the price on) the SRX crossover for the 2010 model year (probably going on sale in the USA during the summer). It will be sold in both FWD and 4WD configurations, with 6 cylinder engines. Except for the giant grill, the new SRX looks very similar to the RDX.
If you don't want to see the Fed auto bail out loans go to waste, now may be the time to think about buying an American car.

It will come with a 3.0L DI engine and a 2.8T from the Saab 9-3.
I like it, but GM in Canada has some serious overpricing issues. It takes all the discounts in the world to make the vehicles competitive with some of their competition.

I don't really see this as a competitor to the RDX other than some product marketing person put it in the same category as "CUV." It's pretty ugly IMO. But to each their own. Plenty of people think the RDX is ugly.

no way this thing comes in under 40k either, even in 2wd. it may shrink in size or power, but i dont think that will carry over to the sticker.
What I dont understand about these crossovers coming out like the EX, this caddy, the volvo, etc....why take a perfectly usable space behind the passengers and chop it almost totally off with a sloping roof like a car. The whole point of a "cross over" is to have capability of a smaller truck w/drive & handling of a car. If it was to be a car, then leave it be. Its probably why I still hold the design of the RDX/X3 and now the BENZ in high regard. THEY LET IT BE A CROSSOVER and mainted sports car like handling all the while i can shove crap in the back like a small ute.
crossover=functional, this design looks the opposite..call it a CTS hatchback, not a crossover. same as the Infiniti EX. all design, no function.
