Hello everyone!
Yesterday, I purchased my very first Acura. It's a 2008 RDX SH-AWD. Certified pre-owned with 51k and some change on the clock. Got the AcuraCare with it, so I should be good for quite a while mechanically.
My previous car was a 2003 Ford Taurus. It served me well, but a hailstorm last year did enough damage for the insurance company to total it out. In the last few months, the power steering went out, and recently, the AC decided to leave as well. It's been well over 100 here lately, so it was time for a change.
I'd been researching the Acuras for a little bit. Good reviews, good reliability, good resale. I was originally looking at an older MDX, but after looking at interest rates and such, I realized I might be able to get a newer model.
Finally, after three and a half hours at the dealership, I drove my new RDX home. It is by far the nicest vehicle I've ever owned, and I know that with care it will last me quite some time.
Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and introduce myself.

Welcome to the family!!
Just keep in mind that you will have a hard time going back to American made after driving a Acura/Honda for a while. The RDX's sh-awd loves the curves. The wifey doesn't like sliding around the passenger seat when I use the "sh" in sh-awd.
