Mileage run
I reset one of my trip meters to see what kind of mileage I could get from the MID tonight.
As you can see I have well over 17k miles. Conditions were rainy and in the mid to upper 70s, and I had the AC on the entire time. For those that know the NoVA area, this trip was from Manassas to Ballston and back. For those that don't know the NoVA area, it isn't flat, but it isn't hilly either. Slightly more downhill on the first segment as the numbers indicate. Kept it right around 60mph most of the way except towards the manassas side where the speed limit was 65mph.

It's too bad we can't see the average engine RPM per segment, as it obviously makes a difference, even on slight grades.
But your average economy for the trip of 26.4 mpg would indicate that the car should get about 27+ on a perfectly flat grade at about 65 mph. This is what I get as a steady read-out on the instant mpg screen during brief (1 - 2 mile)stretches of level highway.
In PA where elevation changes are 200 to 500 feet, I get an average highway economy of 24 to 25 mpg. It always requires more energy to climb the hill than is saved going down the other side.

You guys do realize that the long pedal on the right makes the car go wheeee!, right? I could never, ever, ever have that kind of discipline.
Plus everyone drives 80-90 on the highway in these here parts.

I don't normally drive at that kind of controlled speed, but I was trying to see what kind of mileage I could get. It was between 10pm-1am and the highways were very uncrowded so I could drive as fast or slow as I wanted. Running around town today I got it up over 100 miles and the mileage is still holding.
