mileage & odometer data when replacing battery

Weird observation, mostly just to add a thread for this slow forum.

When I replaced my battery about 6 weeks ago, all of my lifetime "B" odometer and mileage data disappeared, and reset to zero. I know it stayed that way for a couple of weeks at least as it began to accumulate new mileage and MPG data. Just yesterday I noticed my cumulative info for the last 1.5 years since owning the car (7300 miles @ 21 MPG), has reappeared in the system.

Is there a way to quickly get this data back into the odometer when changing a battery? This just happened on it's own after quite a while. That's the weird part IMO.

Weird, I've never lost my odometer or trip mileage readings when replacing my battery. I do lose the average fuel economy, calculation though.

This is it. The Avg.Fuel B and B odometer data went to zeros when I changed the battery, but reappeared a couple weeks later! Now happily restored by magic.

Well the average fuel economy reappears because your car starts measuring fuel economy again from the moment you start driving it after changing the battery. Although mine typically shows up within the first minute of driving, not weeks...dunno about the trip meter though. I have never lost that for a second.

Ya that's what happened. Avg fuel mileage started again from zero, along with the odometer. Then it jumped back to the total. Weird

So I'm not sure if my Ave mileage and odometer B are actually in sink.
