My RDX is 2009 model and it has only a little over 10k km today it shows i need B1 services, i only had one service before which was A1 service around 4800km, and it cost me over $100 CAD, B1 is even twice more expensive.....
I would like to know if having B1 on such low mileage is normal.......because the other my car (accord 2006) is 70k kms and it only had twice B services.
so how many kms were there when you guys had B1 service??
btw, im at GTA area

Got my B1 at approx. 5800mls which is about 9440km!
I believe it has to do with how your ECU interprets your driving style/habits. From what i can determine if your driving history records mainly short durations then the maintenance minder intervals will occur more quickly. Thats just a guess though. ;-)

My car has 5888 miles (~10,000km) and im at 5% and need a B1 as well. My first oil change was at around 3800 miles.
RDX maintenance requirements sucks and I am so very disappointed I drive my other car harder than this and I'm supposed to do oil changes at 10k. I just bought the car in march and already have 2 oil changes at only 1000 miles a month.

Burning Brakes
I have only brought my 2007 RDX in for the first A1 service which was free of charge by the dealer. Ever since, I have been changing the oil/filter every 6000-8000 km in accordance with the MID, DIY.
I also change the airfilter every 20000 km or once every year, and this includes the cabin airfilter as well.
To keep the car running smoothly, I either keep it on a top-tier gas diet, or put in a bottle of chevron techron fuel system treatment twice a year.
So far, the main issue is with the irritating "groaning" noise which comes on intermittently from behind the steering wheel column section. Not sure what it is, some say it's the climate control system, valve "doors" closing and opening creating the occasional noise. Whatever it is, it sounds like someone is letting off "gas".
I also plan to have the brake pads replaced with factory pads bought from an online retailer (much cheaper), and replaced by a local mechanic.
The dealer services are way too expensive. Generally, a vehicle such as an Acura (or even toyota) simply needs regular TLC (oil change, monitor fluid levels such as coolant etc.).
