Hands Free - Extra Digits

Hello All,

How are you handling dialing extra digits during a call?

On my Treo 700p if I initiate the call from the RDX phonebook I cannot use the keypad to dial - for instance in my company’s voicemail - 1 for yes and 2 for no. If I start the call on the Treo and transfer then I can use the keypad.

How are you doing this?

Thanks,

dmg

On the TL you can say "one," or "one"-"send." I know my father does it to get into his work mail. I don't imagine they removed it for the RDX.

yeah I say "send one" and it does it. Its slower than direct input though, but it works as long as you get your commands in before the voice system on the other end times out on you.

On my phone I can still use the keypad either way. (Nokia N70)

I did not know about the one-send command... I'll have to try.

Better yet, you can do what I did for my voicemail.

You can insert pauses when you program the number so I simply programmed the number with the password using about 5 "pause" commands between the number and the password. Simplifies the process a great deal.

yes you always have to hit the talk button before you say anything.
