Greater Toronto Area RDX Owners
Hello, I just want to gather feedback from all GTA'ers who had drove their RDX during the recent snow/freezing rain (i.e. handling, fuel consumption, etc).
By the way, feel free to put in your even though you're not from the GTA.
Cheers!

Drove it last night in the snow... and had a quick chance to play with it in an empty parking lot. All I can say is WOW. The RDX is remarkably composed, very stable, and basically "point and shoot".
With the VSA on I could not detect any wheel spin or delay when leaving a snowy parking lot to cross two lanes of traffic. With the VSA off (in the parking lot), I had a difficult time breaking it free... though I think I would've had more success in manual shift mode. (I didn't push it that hard since I'm still breaking it in).
I haven't had an AWD car in a while, so I have to get used to it again. I need a few more snow days and a few more empty parking lots to find the limits.
Edit: I haven't concerned myself with fuel consumption during heavy snow, cause it will usually suck. Of note, my gas mileage to date (~ 700km) averages about 12.5L/100km with 50/50 highway and city roads.

I did not slip at all. In fact even in turning a corner it was great because of the fact the outside wheels accelerate and push the car into the corner. So the back end does not swing out at all.
Gas mileage, well I was at 13, then 14, and now I am at about 14.7L/100K's. I am using 91 Octane Premium in it.
98% of my driving is in the city. Every couple of weeks I may use the 401. So it would be better if I drove on a highway more.

Not in Toronto, but in Edmonton I have averaged 13 L/100km since I have owned the car and it has about 1800 km to date. This value is from my "B" odometer which has not been reset.
On snow handling, the RDX is amazing. Our other vehicle is a 4Runner and the RDX can take corners a lot quicker (and actually make them) than our Toyota.

Gas mileage
I just started another thread about gas mileage in winter before I read your thread :P https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=864
Anyway, I am from Toronto too. I feel the RDX goes pretty stable on the recent snowing and freezing rain days with the stock all seasons tires. But of course, I was going slower than my normal speed.
