Good to buy 2008 rdx with 126 for 10k?
Hey guys, so I'm looking into buying an rdx.
How many miles is too many? I know these cars last a while I just want to double check with fellow rdx owners!
Right now I'm looking into getting an 2008 with 126,000mi and it's selling for 10k. Its the base rdx, without the technology package.
Would this be worth it?
Any advice is appreciated! Thanks guys!

I got mine ('09, tech) for $9k with about 140k.
I found some in my range with lower miles, but the condition just wasn't as good (one owner, full Acura service records).
I'm not saying that mileage isn't important, but it all comes down to maintenance and treatment.
I'd be sure to check both the CarFax and the AutoCheck. I once looked at a car with a clean CarFax, but the Autocheck showed it as being salvaged (don't think one is better than the other; they can both miss things).

I have about 122,XXX on my 08 and have zero concerns about keeping her past the 200,000 mile mark. I would be concern if there isn't a clean title (no rebuilt, salvage, or reconstructed titles) more than 3 owners, and unable to find maint records of any type.
I would also download the owner's manual to go over the bells/whistles to make sure everything is A-OK during the test drive.

It might be worth checking into the cost of a car inspection from a trusted mechanic. Issues with the engine, turbo, 5AT or sh-awd system are few and far between. Most issues are from OEM battery, A/C clutch (TSB on issue), door actuators, condensation in headlights, XM reception, bluetooth module, torn armrest, sun visor issues, and/or alternators. I just replaced my struts/shocks this year because of deteriorated ride.
I would go as far as test driving other RDXs in the area to get a feel for the 07 compared to other 07-12 models. You might not realize there is an issue with the steering, suspension, power delivery, road noise (kinda loud in the RDX), rattles/squeaks, 5AT, brakes, etc... unless you have something to compare it to.

I don't know why I was thinking 07 RDX for the owner's manual?

As others have said, proper maintenance is key. If records aren't available, plan on spending around $1000 to catch up on scheduled services to ensure the car will last. Maybe even use that as a negotiation tool to lower the price.
Coolant flush, brake flush, power steering flush (maybe), oil change, spark plugs, serpent belt - I would recommend all of these if there is no proof of prior service at this mileage. Plus any obvious wear items if needed (tires, brakes, suspension).
