its always on in S - anybody ever figure out how to keep the gear readout to
stay on when its in Drive ?
when i'm in D and i want to downshift in a corner you can never tell
what gear the automatic transmission decided to go into

Are you saying if you put the gear selector in "D" or "S" the display always shows "S" for manual mode?

sounds like he wishes he could see what gear its in while in drive mode. But it looks like the only way to see that and have it stay is when your in sport then hit the paddles to activate manual mode.

must be some way to cross a wire in the shifter
or instrument panel circuit board

i mostly leave it in D and use paddle shifters to shortshift at 2500-3000rpm when im enjoying the boost. i dont want to have full control just some control which is what the D mode delivers. i also like that the gear indicator just stays on for a few seconds to tell you that it has allowed or it has denied (flashing) a shift. i barely use s mode unless i want to hold a gear (downhill, dyno, track). also in S mode you cant short shift to 5th gear until past 50mph.

Funny^ I use "S" mode EVERY DAY. I constantly switch between the two. If I want to pass someone (And I frequently must in my daily commute) "S" downshifts for me so when the perfect opportunity arises, the RDX is already downshifted and ready for my right foot.
