Overall positive review, but doesn't really say anything new (no 0-60 time for those who were anticipating it). The part about the turbo being developed with Mitsubishi is news to me, though. I'm surprised to read the rear seats don't recline. I love that feature in our CR-V.

Not a bad review, overall. They certainly lay it out pretty clearly that the RDX is aimed at on-road performance, which is definitely what most people who buy it will use it for.
As for the turbo being developed with Mitsubishi, I'm not too surprised since Mitsubishi is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers in the world, so instead of Honda doing all the work themselves, they bring in the expertise of a company that has been selling turbochargers for a long time.

pretty uninspiring
I am sorry to say that the RDX, from prototype to production model, has really lost its edgey and aggressive styling. It looks as bland as a highlander, and that is tough to do.

Bold styling, especially on an SUV, either hits(FX35) or misses(Tribeca) and I guess Acura didn't want to risk it so it bridged the gap.

.....of course, beauty being in the eye of the beholder and all, If there is anything positive to be said about the RDX, it's the styling. I find this vehicle DROP DEAD GEORGEOUS ......(and I've not used that word for an automobile in a long time
)
.....as a matter of fact, I did not much care for the so called "edgy" styling of the concept vehicle......but the production version with it's contemporary, clean, relatively conservative curves and "perfectly matched" smooth flowing contours, has morphed into, simply one of the most beautiful designs to come out of the Acura stable!!!....and that's coming from someone who generally does not put much weight into things like "styling" !!! ......it reminds me of an ULTRA MODERN VERSION of a beautiful British 60's sports car (the hood and all)
too bad the "guts" of the vehicle are nowhere near it's external beauty

You know vicpai, I don't necessarily agree with you (I don't mind the turbo 4, at least in theory, and I'm not in love with the styling), but I do love your enthusiam!

If I get a 2007 Honda CRV with all the options, such as heated seats, navigation, etc.; wouldn't I be getting a RDX for thousands less? The big difference will be the turbo but with Bush gas going up every month I think it might be better to have a car that uses regular gas and gets better gas mileage.

The current CRV interior is...unique...and far from "the same" as the RDX. The CRV also does NOT offer the options you listed currently and there's no reason to expect them for the new model. The CRV is an econobox through and through.

Although you have to guess at what he meant by all the options the current CRV can be had with leather heated seats and since the Civic now has nav I would assume the CRV will have nav. I certainly would agree that the RDX will be a better car than the CRV but for most people a loaded CRV would be a better value, but then entry lux cars/trucks aren't about value, except you can argue perceived value within their segment.

I didn't realize the CRV had leather, my mistake. I like the way the CRV drives and handles, the interior room is good, but the dash just made me run.
