Simple and inexpensive way to securely mount your bike inside your RDX using a Sunlite Fork Mount. Total cost $12.45.

Tools needed:

Sunlite Fork Mount - (2) M6 Torx machine screws.
(2) M6 Nylon lock nuts.
Drill (1/4in bit).
Sharpie marker.
Torx Screwdriver.
10mm Ratchet.



I mount the bike with the rear driver's side seat down and the two connect points on the seat make it easy to bungee the back tire down.

Place the rear cargo cover on the trunk floor with the plastic side up. Place the bike in the area with the fork (wheel removed) facing the hatch. You may need to remove your seat but I did not. Attach the bike mount to your fork and then mark the placement using the sharpier on the plastic of the cargo cover.

Remove the cargo tray from the trunk and drill out the two holes using a 1/4in drill bit. I drilled the first hole then attached the screw and nut using the screwdriver and ratchet.

I used a smaller bit to drill a placement hole while holding the mount in the correct place. Attach the second nut and screw, make sure the screw head is on the carpet side so it sits flat in the trunk.

Finished product with a fully functioning cargo cover and it makes the cover easier to carry with the mount if you need to remove it completely.
