What I did like about the RDX is that it will have the SH-AWD from the RL....I expect this will be carried over to the entire model line shortly....to the TL by the release of the all new 2008 model....the RSX will not be made next year but there will be a TSX coup in development.

Also, consider that a 4-cylinder RAV4 4x4 costs $28310 and doesn't come with a lot of the stuff that will be on the base RDX.
I think the RDX is actually really well priced, given its competition. The base model can compete with some of the less costly competition by offering some additional equipment, and the Tech package allows Acura to still undercut the more expensive premium competition. Works for me.

I agree... $37K is a bit steep to get the navigation system. I drove the CX-7 last night and really liked how it performed. Looks like it will run around $32K with the technology package. Didn't like the interior of the Rav4 at all.
So in my price range I'm debating the CX-7 or a certified used RX-330. I really have promised myself navigation in "my next car".
Darn. I really thought the RDX would "the car" for me.

Don't you dare bring logic into this......

I will refer all posters bitching about the pricing to the last sentence in Motohip's opening to this thread. Once you drive one you will understand. SH-AWD is NOT just a catchy name. The technology works and it works incredibly well. What price do you place on the smile you will have every time you drive. If sticker price is that much more important to you than driving pleasure, interior fit and finish, technological goodies etc. then by all means buy a CX-7 or a RAV-4 or a CRV, they are all great vehicles and will save you a few bucks.

Is this article on-line yet? Can anyone post a link or cut and paste the article into this thread?
Also, I agree that $37K seems like a fair price for the RDX with the Tech Package, which includes a lot of stuff (nav, rear camera, souped up stereo, hands-free link and more).

well in car and driver they said "in between 30 and 37grand". car and driver had nothing but raves about it. they loved everything about it. and they think it starts at 32...and the tech package on all the acuras cost about 2-3 grand....so that means at most it would be 35$. 37$ is WAY out of the picture....except MAYBE if you add the 19in. wheels. they only chose 37 grand because of the price of x3.

LOVES HIS TL!!!
I went out and bought the 3 big magazines (R & T, Motortrend and C & D) What i found interesting is that all of the magazines drove it and commented on how it handled and drove overall, but not one of them produced actual numbers to reflect on their opions on straighline performance. ... Strange... All i saw was "MFR EST"...
As a side note, All the reviews were good so far (as they usually are for descent new cars). In my opinion, Motortrend had the best written review.

Have not received my copies of MT, or R&T, but have read the C&R article. Looks like a late July availability date is a go. However, the article must have been written a few weeks ago, so who knows for sure?
I talked at length with a Honda salesman last week when we were buying my wife's '06 Civic Coupe EX (super car by the way) and he offered to order a RDX for me, but he had no info either at the time. He told me that the RDX has been in production for a few weeks already and that most are being "tested" by Acura execs, and if there are any defects/problems, production could be slowed or stopped. He also said most will be sold at sticker, but some dealers will be adding ADP (greedy sobs) as there has been a lot of people wanting to pre-order. He thought the RDX base price would be above the TL/Navi and the Tech Package would add about $3K. So, if he knows what he is talking about (remember he is a car salesman after all) the RDX/TP will be about $37K, or thereaouts. I was hoping for $35K. He also said forget about any finance or lease deals for at least a year.
