Question Did you get an alignment when you replaced your tires?

Just replaced my OEM tires at 26k and I'm on the fence here. I've always read to get an alignment when purchasing new tires... Tires wore evenly and car tracks straight. Steering is centered nicely. I'm worried that if I get an alignment it could end up worse.

What did you do?

I'm not sure what the guidelines are to get an alignment, but if the tires wore evenly and it tracks straight, I'd save my money.

I'm sure there is a rule of thumb on mileage floating around though.

at 26K miles, if the car has not yet been aligned, I would do it.

I align my cars every other oil change, but then again, I'm not paying to have it done.

but for what it's worth, every time, some minor adjustment is needed, although not significant.......

No alignment for me...I don't think it's necessary unless it's necessary...and you will know when that is....uneven wear, car pulls....you should rotate the tires frequently, that should give you an idea of the uneven wear....

Ok, I caved and got an alignment. $60 at my local Honda dealer and got the engine air filter replaced for another $30. Thought the pricing was pretty fair. Naturally, everything was pretty much in spec except for a couple of minor toe adjustments.
