Dead Battery and MPG Calculations

A few days ago, the battery in my 07 RDX Tech died. I promptly replaced it with a new battery and put the codes for the radio and Navi. Everything has been OK every since with the exception that the car's MPG calculation are coming on the low end. I have been doing my normal driving and I usually get 19 to 20 MPG but right now I am getting 15 to 16 MPG. Could there be something wrong with the ECU as a result of the battery swap? Has this happened to anyone else? Perhaps I am just being paranoid

I generally think the RDX gets lower gas mileage than advertised. Give it a couple of fill ups and manually keep track of your MPG. Ie. record your miles driven between fill ups and divide by the gallons pumped in.

Yeah that MPG counter is a picky calcutator. I just had a somewhat spurious anomaly with my engine ops (still trying to descifer it), and as a result the calcutator moved from about 14.8 to 7.2. Its slowly rising now so all i can say is probably just to give it some time.
