Coolant level measured with car hot or cold?

Looked at the coolant level today in the reservoir. I can barely see any coolant in the tank. Way below minimum. So far I have only checked this while the engine was cold. Is it actually low, or should the level be checked the when the engine has warmed up?

ya I couldn't see any coolant in the rdx either, freaked me out.

I believe you have to check with the engine warm

i believe the tank should say hot and cold. when engine is cold, resevoir should reach the cold line, hot the hot line. seems like rdx's actually shipped with less coolant then they should have had. i had to add into mine. i believe this issue was seen earlier in the year in another thread. not sure though.
