Changed Car Battery - Now headlights won't turn off

I just replaced my car battery and the alarm would occasionally go off. I would unlock and lock the doors and it would stop until today. It kept going off. I thought it was the hood latch switch so I used WD-40 to clean it. The alarm seems to have stopped but the headlights and taillights remain on. Then I disconnected and reconnected the battery terminals but they still remain on. I was thinking it could be the time delay relay but I don't know which one it could be. Any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

Are you certain that the switch is in the off position? (Sorry for the obvious question; I know I've done plenty of silly stuff like that).
There may also be settings in the configuration menu which were altered by having the battery out; that's worth a look as well.
