My wife and I are looking at replacing our 2005 TL with a 2008 RDX (we've moved from Charleston, SC to CT and need AWD). We saw a 2007 RDX demo on the lot that was Carbon Gray Pearl and love the color. When speaking with the salesman, he stated that in 2008, Acura changed the name to Polished Metal Metallic, but it is the same as the Carbon Gray Pearl. They had no RDX's in Polished Metal Metallic on the lot to compare. If someone out there has done the comparison, or knows the answer, please help! Also, if there is any pictures of an RDX in Polished Metal Metallic, I would love to see them, vice looking at the computer generated picture online.
Thanks,
Steve

Where are you located? Did you pay invoice?
Anyone think the taupe looks good in the gray?

They are definitely NOT the same color. The carbon gray is more of a darker version of the polished metal. Very tough to describe. They also have it as a TL color I believe. Have them call you when they have both so you can compare for yourself.

I have a CGP RDX...actually the reason why I went with an '07 is because I wanted CGP. Polished Metal is definitely lighter. Like if a Silver and Carbon Gray RDX hooked up, then Polished Metal would be their b****** child.
I wasn't a fan of PMM from the photos, but I saw one over the holidays and it almost made me wish I'd went for that instead. It'll definitely hide dirt better since it's lighter. CGP is almost as bad as black when it comes to showing grime.

i think i posted about this one before....there is a BIG difference. they arent even similar.
the CGP like another poster said, is more of a dark blue, and at nite close to a dark gray. its the darkest color next to black.
the polished metal i think is def a more brilliant color when clean, has jsut a touch of a beige in it and gives off that gun metal effect. But, dissimilar to carbon bronze..there is no brown and the polished metal seems to stay the same color in the sun and in the shade. When I parked my 07 carbon next to the 08 polished, 2 totally different cars. I actually prefer the polished metal....the color tends to pop more

I just got an '08 Carbon Bronze with Taupe interior. I like the taupe a lot. The dash and trim are still black and aluminum, and it goes well with the taupe. In deciding between the Polished Metal and Carbon Bronze, I found the Polished Metal had a bit of a blueish tint to it, which I didn't so much like. Maybe it was just my eyes. I liked the way the Carbon Bronze seems to change colors from a grayish carbon to a... well... bronze.
