Bypass valve question

Since trading an Audi S4 for the RDX, I was wondering what type of Bypass valves the RDX has...would like to take one of my two http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/con...oduct=FMCL007P and put it in the RDX. Mainly as I'd rather not have them head to the dealer if I can help it.

Wondering if they would be direct replacements, and if they are, would someone want to work out some kinda trade me yours and by another cheap one and I'll send you one of these so I can put them in and someone else can have one for relatively cheap, deal.

That is if they're switchable.

TIA

Even if they fit, there's no telling if this would improve the RDX or potentially be worse. In most cases I am aware of, factory BOVs are sized and spec'd correctly. I have not seen major advantages with aftermarket BOVs unless they are required for other engine mods. Swapping only the BOV doesn't really make sense.

It's not an atmospheric BOV you know. So you won't get the much sought after "cool sound" , known to add 5-10HP in the heads of tuner dorks but only good for making the engine run rich

hahaha, too true. There are noticeable differences with these valves, but only really seen with minor throttle response when viewed with a gauge/laptop combination...butt dyno wouldn't really be able to tell and yeah, you wouldn't get the extreme swoosh that above mentioned tuner dorks are looking for. there was more noise in the audi, but it was never loud in the first place. I wouldn't be able to check as i'm still waiting for our RDX to be delivered to the dealer and the car goes in on trade.

The point I was getting at is this: since it's not an atmospheric BOV, it's not going to make the loud whoosh sound. And that's the only time people tend to upgrade their BOVs without a good reason, and it's often at the expense of proper fuel/air mixture and performance. So there's absolutely no compelling reason to do it in this case. OK?

Well it would help me understand better if you used complete sentences written in regular english! If I did miss your point I apologize, but upon re-reading your posts I don't see anything obvious.

wait a minute...i'm a tuner dork, have tuned cars in the past, but don't do much anymore. Remember, I'm the one with the valves...there was no offence intended by any means, just following along with the quote. sorry chillintsx if you took it that way
