Bought a friend for the RDX

A 2009 Subaru WRX 265!

Bottom line: the car is comfortable, extremely quick and fun to drive! Good on fuel as well. Amazing brakes.

Not that anybody on here would consider getting one, but I haven't gotten out of it for 5 days

After driving a new car it's apparent my RDX smells like an old boot.

Go for Cobb Stage 2 (reflash + DP + catback), day and night difference . I used to drive Stage 2 05 WRX that got totaled in head on collision on icey road. It will blow RDX in performance.

Still have to take some pics. The roads are wet right now so the car gets dirty quickly!

I think he meant to say that it will blow BY the RDX in terms of acceleration

Still the RDX holds its own in terms of build quality and strong mid range torque! RDX just needs a Hondata tune....

That's exactly what I meant.

Not sure about the build quality of RDX (assembled in U.S), I'm not a 100% satisfied customer.

I'm betting the Subu smells no better after having you in it for 5 days straight...

I'm new to scoobies but the build quality seems very good.

I always thought the RDX was built well though.

Why don't you like the RDX's build?

Good choice. The 09 WRX is a solid car. I wish they'd offer a few more options though.

www.nasioc.com is an excellent suby enthusiast site.

When I picked up the RDX, I noticed squeaks and rattles from the day one. No doubt about Honda reliability, but the finish quality was not there for $30K+ cars (perhaps assembled in U.S vs. Japan).

Not to scare you, but 09 Subaru WRX had some quality control issues, resulting in engine failures. Not sure that's still happening.

Thanks for the link to the suby enthusiast site.

Found a buyer for the RDX so I placed an order for an '09 STI!

very nice!

I'm a long-standing member of nasioc.com, as I've had a few Subarus in my day. I love them, I'm just saddened by how ugly their designs have gotten.

Whenever I replace the RDX, I could see myself in an STi, for sure. I love that car, even if it isn't exactly a looker.

The blue WRX is the GF's.

Hopefully the STI will be here this week. It's sitting in Vancouver (about 5 hours from here) on a boat. I'll post pics when it arrives!

The RDX actually sort of reminds me of the STI in the way it's shaped, the engine, etc. Maybe I'm warped =)

One of you guys needs to buy my Hondata tune / spare ECU. It wakes the RDX up! Help me pay for a clear bra, etc. for the STI!!!

I see. I wish Hondata works like AccessPort.

The Accessport is really cool. I just got one for the soobie The data logging capabilities are sweet. I like the ability to download different maps. I can understand why those who come from Cobb tuning to this market would be a bit dissapointed.

But until then RDX owners can still use the all mighty Hondata flash to make the RDX quicker. And I have a used one for sale lol.

I was very tempted when I saw your post! heheh

However, my Miata needs a suspension more than the RDX needs more power...priorities, priorities...

Sorry man!

It was a sad day Wednesday saying bye to the RDX. It was a good vehicle. But I'm stoked to be in the STI now. Loads of fun!! Here are some pics.

Right when it arrived right off the truck with the plastic on it and 8 miles on the odo!
