Blue smear on my interior leather?

Anyone else having this issue? It's some sort of blue smear/pigment that appears on my black leather seat, door interior, and anything leather. I usually clean it off but it happens so frequently that it's starting to piss me off. The only thing I can think of is the water spill proof option I selected when I got the vehicle but I also see very little of it in my TSX, just a little.

Ya I think I'll bring it to the dealer.

here are some pictures from my camera phone. There are some on my leather steering wheel but I didn't take pics.

I've seen it some where before.
I can't recall what it is, tho.

where does it come from? does it magically appear over night? do you leave the windows down?

Yes it just appears out of nowhere..... but I think it's something in the leather. Friction with the leather causes it but it's definitely not from the clothes.

I'm glad I choose Taupe, not black. The leather on my old TSX and now my RDX always looked new without any maintenance.

well I just came back from the dealer and the service guy didn't know what it was either. he said it wasn't from the car and that maybe it was from a detail work I might have had on my car but I haven't done anything to the car, it's all stock/original. He noticed that the blue powder was all over my car, even on the trunk rubber seal. he said it wasn't covered under warranty and that i'd have to talk to the manager when he comes in tomorrow ;(

one thing that I do notice though is that this only happens during the summer. I've had this car since last summer and the same thing occurred back then but it stopped happening during winter.

R*D*X* are you saying the exact same thing happened to you and it was from sunblock? I don't use any sunblock tho.

Beat me to it. It shows up as white on my beige interior.

Test out the theory and let us know if it was indeed the sun block.

Yup it was the sunblock lol. sunblock is white but turns blue after drying and being in the sun/heat. It's easy to clean off with leather cleaner or damp cloth.
