Blinker/hazard fuse blowing
Blinker/hazard fuse blowing
Good morning.
so, a few weeks ago, I took my 2008 RDX into a mechanic on a local military base, to have the heater core replaced. Their labor rates are dirt cheap and I bought an OEM part for them to install.
on the way from my office, to the mechanic, the blinkers started acting up and then went out completely. I mentioned that when I dropped off the vehicle and then three or four weeks later, when he was finishing up the vehicle, he said he found a broken fuse, number 10 in the engine compartment and replaced it. He was hoping that fixed it, but it went out again when I picked up the car and started driving home.
The lights all work and the blinkers work for a short time, but then stopped. I’m not sure what else to check.
That being said, the sunroof motor went out about a month ago, and I haven’t replaced it yet, but I was wondering if that could have anything to do with the blinker fuses, acting up.
thanks

There is a blinker/flasher relay in the driver’s side kick panel fuse box. I would check and/or replace that and I believe the part number is 8300-SDB-A03.
^I'm pretty sure blinkers are controlled by the MICU rather than a standalone relay. If only it were that easy.
OP, check fuse #s 10 and 14 in the under-hood fusebox, and fuse # 10 in the under-dash fusebox that NBP04TL4ME mentioned above.
If #10 under the hood blew again, then you have something shorting out or overdrawing on that circuit.
