Acura Plus warranty

Acura Plus warranty
I posted the reply below in a different thread. Are there any RDX specific issues that I should be aware of that may help me make the decision to buy the warranty or not? Already I noticed a rattle in the headliner area and will be returning to replace a headlight full of condensation.
Thanks!

I just bought a 2010 RDX with one year full coverage remaining. I have until Friday to confirm if I want the Plus coverage (Canada), which could add another three years to the warranty. The cost is $2,150. If I deduct the cost of my AAA membership since the warranty would include roadside, my cost is $1,500.
I guess it cones down to my risk acceptance level, most people here seem to think it is not worth it. Anyone regretted not buying it or had problems with warranty issues??
Thanks!

I had condensation in my driver's side headlight replaced under the standard warranty. I didn't notice there was a problem until I vacationed in Colorado with higher humidity in the summer from NM.
I did have an i-Vtec solenoid fail on the RDX; but, it was covered 100% under the 70,000 mile powertrain warranty.
I took a chance and did not purchase the extended warranty for my TSX (+100,000 miles) or RDX (+89,000 miles). The TSX has been rock solid with routine maint, tires, rear brakes, and one battery. The only two issues I had on my RDX that wasn't covered by the standard or powertrain warranty was a brake booster sensor ($280) and battery ($100). It has been routine maint and tires since I purchased used +3 yrs ago with 30,000 miles on the RDX. I also have hondata, K/N drop-in filter, and Eibach springs on the RDX for the last few years with zero problems with them. I imagine the +10 RDX is just as reliable or more than the 07-09 models.

Extended Warranty = Suckers Bet
You'd be better off to put the money in the bank as a rainy day fund. Your chances of spending $1,500 on garage door repairs are higher than that of a well maintained RDX breaking down.

Thanks for the input. The Acura dealership is 2hrs away from me and would involve a $45 bridge toll and about the same in gas return trip. Unfortunately the local Honda dealer won't touch Acura warranty work. I may take my chances.

I bought the Acura + warrantee just cause the vehicle had 98k but everything's mint like driving a new rdx I bought the 7yr or 200,000km just cause I had employee pricing and it's the full comprehensive warranty so it's like driving a new car out of the lot it's going n for front end links and bushings and stabilizer bar it has a little play but ahwell might as we'll take advantage of it. I had a bmw x5 with no warranty and learnt the hard way that vehicle cost me thousands to fix and I had it for a yr so I ended up trading it for a 2011 rdx so all in all it's really up to u if you want the warranty for me it piece of mind now
