acura care
I'm trying to figure out if an extended Acura care warranty is something I should consider....I know the conventional thinking is that it is a waste of money, but the appeal of coverage for 6years/120k miles is forcing me to consider it.....
1) Does anyone have it and why did you get it?
2) How much should this coverage cost?
3) How can I make a good decision if I'm not clear on what it covers?
4) What does it cover exactly?
What else do I need to need to know or should I consider?

it all comes down to if you plan on keeping the car that long, and/or plan on modding the hell out of it.
i have never owned a car more then just a couple of years, so for me, it was a no brainer.
edit: sorry i couldn't be of more assistance

Acura care is the only type of warranty to go with. It covers all of your major items as well as alot of other items. Check with the finance department at your local Acura dealer, they will be able to give you alot more infomation as to what it covers and does not cover. Do not let them tell you it is "bumper to bumper" because I can assure you, it is not.
After they have given you a price, give a couple other dealers a call to see what they would cost. It does vary dealer to dealer, sometimes by a substantial amount of money.

they told me a bunch of stuff that was covered, but i asked for it in writing and they wouldn't/couldn't give it to me .....i think I found a place the would sell it to me for around $1000 for 6yr/120. it seems reasonable, but i am still not clear what it will cover and what it is actually worth in terms of peice of mind, you know?

well..look at it this way, if u need something, its better than nothing, right? a grand for 6 years is a pretty well justified expense, considering the extended warranty for 2 years on my plasma tv was 500 bucks.
