I was browsing for prices on the nose mask for my 2011 RDX, although I don’t exactly know if it is a really useful accessory or more of a “good to have”. I found the best price from the H and A Accessories, $128 + S&H.

I would like to know if the mask is worth the price. I appreciate anything you guys have to say about your experiences with the nose mask.

I have the nose mask for my 08, it's great for road trips. I only use it for that to keep off the bugs/rocks/debris. In that regard it serves it's purpose.

 

I had the same idea in my mind, using the nose mask for long drives. I guess I can give it a try, although I observed the nose mask doesn't seem to cover the grill, and since the grill is a little wider for the 2011, I am thinking of other alternatives along with the nose mask. Do you know if I can get any good protective film that I can apply myself?

 

I've noticed just as many rock chips on the middle of the hood as on the nose. Probably not worth the effort.

Do you mean the protective film is not the effort, or the nose mask is not? I am assuming the nose is more exposed to the rocks/bugs than the hood while driving on freeway, so I guess the nose mask does help. Again, that is just my opinion, I could be wrong.
