2008 RDX Winter tire size 17

I am new to this community.
My 2008 RDX currently uses Michelin X-Ice 225/65/27 on Honda steel rims / TPS, this is the OEM setup since purchase.

Does the newer 235/65/17 fit these rims as replacement?
Are the 235/65/17 for the new second generation RDX?

I thank you for your help in advance.

Yes they should fit fine, the only difference is that the 235 wide tires are 10mm wider, this does not effect their mounting on the rims at all. I had 225/55/18 on my rdx with factory rims, just swtiched them over to 235/55/r18 and no issues at all. The stock tires are 235 wide.

This is the first time I ever install winter tires on my car, honestly so far I cannot tell if they are any better than regular all seasons. They don't stop any better, they don't move any better...I don't know. Time will tell

i've been using dedicated winter tires and wheels ever since my first RDX in 2008 and even tho it doesn't snow much here in vancouver, they certainly provided better stopping ability especially coming down the mountain when it's snow covered.

i've also started using dedicated winter tires and wheels on my TL as well but i have yet to see any snow. may have to drive up to a local ski/snowboard resort to test these tires.
