Question '08 RDX Tech or '08 TL NAVI

Hi everyone! I would like some opinions on the 2008 TL NAVI and the 2008 RDX Tech. I am 31 and single. I am a high school teacher. I am looking to upgrade from my 2005 Accord EXL. I have never owned a SUV, but thought it could be a nice change from owning 2 Accords and the RDX seems to be just the right size-not to big and not too small. I am looking at Polished Metal/Ebony in both the RDX and the TL.

I will be going next week while on Spring Break to test drive them both again. It's been a while. I do love them both but am torn between them. I realize this generation TL is in its last few months. I know the new 2009 will be way out of my price range.

I would love some opinions and input! I want the most and best vehicle for the money. I like the $399 lease special on the RDX tech, but not sure what is available in the TL NAVI.

Sincerely,

Bamagirl77

I was also initially interested in both, but ended up with the RDX. The TL is very nice but to me it was just another sedan- not particularly distinctive from anything else out there on the road in terms of looks. I really wanted to try something new- I've also never had an SUV. The RDX is smaller than many out there, but as an almost empty nester, I really didn't need a big passenger-hauling SUV. I did, however, need something to haul my bike and various racing gear, and the RDX fills the bill nicely. I like the 4 wheel drive, sitting up higher than a sedan, and of course all the bells and whistles in the tech package. Really, ultimately, I just decided I didn't want another sedan, and so that made my mind up for me. Which ever you choose though, I'm sure you'll be more than happy! Good luck!

For me it came down to seating position. I really liked the chair-like seats of most SUVs vs most sedans.

If you are going to wait for the TL, wait for the redesign in a year or 2. I am guessing in AL, you will not need AWD so the TL would be a good option.

like ive said in the TL forum. both are two totally different cars. you have to decide if you want a car or a CUV. if you go for the TL go for the type S. its the only TL worth having.

Hi again! Thanks so much for all the input. I am scheduled to go Tuesday and test drive both. I like the smoothness of a car, but like the utility of the RDX. I will see which one gets the best deal and which one will fit me the best.

The RDX lease special looks pretty sweet, not sure if they have anything on a TL right now.

Thanks again!

TL = equiv to having a luxary accord.
Go for the RDX, its a nice change for once.
But once you goto a CUV/SUV, you never want to go back to a sedan.
Best of luck.
