07 RDX Roof Rails
I'm thinking of putting roof rails and crossbars on my 07 Tech. Anyone with pros or cons? Anything aftermarket that will bolt on or do you have to go with Acura?

I purchased my 08 RDX used +3 years ago and it already had the OEM roof rack installed. There is still a roof max weight of 110lbs if you do go aftermarket rack instead of OEM.

Here are some sites I've used before for Acura parts:

I like the look of the OEM roof rack. I don't notice additional wind noise and mpgs don't seem to be effected when traveling without the roof box. I also have the sun roof defector which might help move the air over the cross bars. It has stayed looking glossy and new(ish) with the finish on the rack.
I purchased a Yakima Rocketbox Pro 14 to use with the OEM rack. I only use the roof rack/cargo box maybe 2-3 times a year for vacations so we can have extra space inside. I haven't tried the roof rack with anything else like snow board gear, bikes, ski rack, etc... I've been 100% happy with the OEM roof rack.

Meh, OEM racks have a really light capacity. My dealer installed rack leaked. I have sretched mine to the max with a light load of lumber and a 30 ft extension ladder. Both times I thought I was screwed.
My personal recommendation is Yakima. I have owned several over the years and today's models are exceptionally well engineered.
I would have one on the RDX right now, had I not bought the car with the OEM rack already installed on the dealer's lot.
You can get a good package for bikes/skis for less than $840.

I can tell you doing a roof rack depending on what you are mounting on top, for us its a few mountain bikes, drains your mpg quite a bit. And you have to be super duper careful where you're going. Otherwise you can kiss your bikes goodbye. Im actually thinking about doing a hitch mount, but of course this is only depending on what you want to use it for.
