My new to me RDX looked great on the outside, but as soon as you opened the door, you couldn't help but notice how bad the upholstery looked.
I asked a friend who used to be an upholsterer and he told me that people make pre-sewn upholstery pieces that I could install myself.
I ordered a set and I am REALLY happy with the results. After watching a couple of youtube videos, I got them installed. It was easier than I thought it would be.
Here are some before and after pictures

It was only 150 bucks for the seat bottom AND armrest?. I feel like that's a great deal for the seat bottom alone... the arm rest has too many extra stitches down the middle but it's still leaps and bounds better than the previous

Yeah, can you believe it? Definitely a great purchase. Believe it or not, the stitches down the middle of the arm rest match the factory arm rest. I also recovered one of the door arm rests, but I don't have any pictures of that.
This can cost you $150, but for me it cost twice that. I inadvertently ordered Tan instead of Taupe, so I had to order again.
I am hoping to recoup some of my $ by selling the tan kit.
