There have been some "taller" NSX owners who have purchased aftermarket seats and rails (which lowered the seat position). This seemed to have worked for them. I'll have to dig up some pics. You can also get some DaliRacing cushions. From what I read, it drops the driver about 2". Additionally, the NSX coupe is supposed to be a bit taller then the targa. With the cusion mod, I have read it working for those up to 6'6" !

Where's a recommend place or method of purchasing a good reliable NSX? I don't trust dealers, they overcharge. And finding one through Craigslist or things of that sort don't produce consistent results.

I want one as well, my neighbor just sold his 1991 NSX coupe. That was one of the sickest sounding NSX's i've ever heard, and to think he used a Flowmaster system on it...not the usual but it worked well

I've had more seat time in an NSX than some one who doesn't own one should. I always love to hear people talk about it's lack of performance. As soon as I hear that I pretty much assume that they have never driven one. The stats on paper do not do this car justice.
On a side note it's nice to have another forum for a discontinued car around here. We CL owners were feeling a little dinosaur like.

I have been sooo close to buying one recently, but the cost was just too high, or the car was too far to make a real effort to get into it. I'll be checking one out this week, a local Spa Yellow 2002 with 15k miles on it. The guy is asking $50k, but I think I can get him down a bit.
On a side note, the only thing I can't stand is the old looking bus siaed steering wheel with the huge airbag and no emblem. Otherwise, its gorgeous.

Dude, a 2002 with only 15k miles @ 50k is a sick deal (pending things check out with the car). I would hate you if you get it for cheaper. Some good things to help with the negotiating is the timing belt, valve adjustment, water pump, etc. that will need to be replaced next year. This will cost you between 1500-2k. But it will be your LAST major service for awhile.

I'll tell you what. After having a friend with a 92 and getting to ride with him a few times its easy to fall in love with the car. Heck, he bought a 91 as well because one wasnt enough lol. He is a navy guy. But my roomate is friends with him and got to keep the car for him when he was gone and drive it. Well needless to say My Roomate purchased a 91 when he returned from deployment a few months ago. He has been looking at getting one for a while being a lover of old school hondas. For example out driveway has a 89 Si crx, a 88 crx, and the garage holds a 89 Si hatch lol. Well since him getting his I can tell you two more of his friends in the area have picked up NSX's. Its truly an addicting car and VERY easy to fall in love with. If I ever have the oppurtunity to purchase one you know dang well Im getting it lol......
