will these wheels work?
im thinking of getting some 16x8 +10 offset wheels. i got the sportline drop with approx. 2 inches or so settled. im wondering if wheels that size would be able to work, or do i have to roll my fenders? and which tire sizes do you think i should use? I want something close to stock so maybe size 50 or 45 sidewall is close to what im looking for.

bump. i realize that being on a sportline drop wont be great, so ill be going back to stock height if i can get these wheels to work. im not ordering them yet until im pretty sure they'll fit with no problem. then maybe ill find a nice coilover set to drop to a nice height
so can a wheel with 16x8 +10 offset be able to clear brake calipers and other suspension parts? or is that too drastic and should i be looking for something along the lines of a 16x7 +45?
if i was to go with the 16x8, i think the tires would be 205/50.

CL in lawnmower status
16x8 +10 would be fine for clearing suspension/brake parts, dunno about getting in the fenders tho.
to put this into perspective for you, fliplyricist1's wheel specs are 18x8 +27 (front), and 18x9 +36 (rear)
this means your wheels would stick out 17mm more in the front, and 13mm more in the rear than his do...however he has done spacers on the rears, dunno forsure about the fronts
i'd say it's much to low of an offset with that width to run on a cl.
btw the lower the offset the less or a chance of contacting suspension components as a lower offset moves the wheel face out more, as compared to a higher offset, and as far as contacting the brake components that has to deal more with the convex style of wheel face where the spokes curve in a lot also occuring on higher offset wheels usually... if that makes sense
pic explains some more about offsets

outside face of wheel is on the right
...and this is just my impression, there may be some more knowledgable ppl on here, that can tell you more about rim fitment on a cl

yeah. it makes sense. in my mind, when using that pic, i think that these wheels could easily work w/ stock height. but ive been told by some people that it wouldnt work and i fail to see why.
but the wheels i want to use are these.
