Tire pressure on aftermarket wheels/tires ?
I'm trying to figure out what tire pressure to use on my CL.
I should be ignoring the door jam recommendations since they're for the stock tires correct?
The tires read a max PSI of 44 and they have 35 in them all around right now.
I was thinking they should be up around 40+ cold since they're 225/40/18s.
Can anyone shed some light?

I have aftermarket wheels to0 and I put 40 psi on my 19s (low profile). as long as you don't go beyond the max, I think you will be fine. I have my rear tires 2 psi lesser than the front since the stock recommends higher pressure on front that at rear. That's what I did, just let us know how the ride feels

Ah good deal I might try 40FR 38R I brought my digital gauge with me to work and a gas station here as free air. It really depends how hot it is whether I do it or not by the time I get out of work and am out in the heat for a few mins in work clothes I feel like doing nothing but getting home to take them off =)

Drove about 50 miles with 40 front 38 rear on 225/40/18s rated 44psi max. It feels fine to me. I'm going to run them like this for a while to see if I can help tire wear on 7.5 wide pushing the center out more. My edges seem to wear a little too progressively even with in spec toe/camber
