Suspension Questions??

okay heres where im at. I talked to this guy today who has coilovers and they are for a 90 accord. no matter where i look i find the same thing. 90-97 accord springs should work for our cars too since im not seeing a difference between 90-93 accords and 94-97 accord coilovers(noob guide says 94-97 accord only). the 2.2/2.3 cl's. the only difference i found is with the spring rates. the rear springs(skunk2's) were firmer than the cl's...So the question is will coilover for a 90 accord fit our cars?? I already searched and got nothing...also i was wondering if i bought the skunk2 coilovers and also neuspeed sport springs couldnt i just swap the cheapo skunk2 springs for the neuspeeds and still have the coilover setup??

skunk2s are brutal. the drop is nice but the ride quality is meh, too stiff.
i dont think you can swap springs in a coilover sleeve. just buy a complete coilover kit like tein basics.

not trying to get that deep into with the money. the coilovers are only $65 thats why i wanted them. but with the kyb agx's i thought it might not be too bad. im not trying to race with it. im still curious if the 90 accord works for us. dont see why not its only a spring more or less

There's no point to swapping springs on a matched coilover set, and our car is built off the 94-97 accord platform, but as far as I know, the suspension is the same for 90-97 because I've seen parts listed that way, but I dunno for sure, all suspension pieces I bought were labeled for 94-97 though.

It's not the spring that's the issue, it's how the shocks mount, personally I'd just buy something I knew fit

my tokicos are 90-97, my H&R springs 94-95(not sure why) ,sways are 90-97

i think any 90-97 is safe for suspension

coilover springs are seem to be smaller and seat differently than spring/shock combo springs. I dont think neuspeeds would fit properly on skunk coilover collar sleeves.

thanks you guys i didnt think the springs would interchange after looking at some pictures, but it was worth a shot since after i buy everything i will have both the neuspeed springs and the coilovers... ill try out the coilovers and see how they ride with the agx and if its too brutal ill be able to swap out with the neuspeeds. its only 350 for the neuspeed springs, ingalls camber kit, and the kyb agx's. only thing is they are used, but i cant pass at that price so does anyone know anything to look for to indicate alot of wear on any of those parts?? at only 1.5 drop with the neuspeeds i dont see how he could really abuse the shocks too much...

You almost don't need a camber kit for that drop. I have Eibach Pro Kit 1.3 inch drop and the tire place says they adjusted toe only to bring it back to spec after the drop and not camber or caster. 1.7 inch drop is too much for me, the car was not designed for anything like that and the ride would be terrible.

You might only care about price but you might want to find out which of those components have a warranty and for how long, and whether or not it's transferrable. My Illuminas have a life time warranty and it's the competitor to the AGX

which springs would deliver the best handling? just wondering cuz i heard that once you drop it past a certain point the handling gets horrible and when you take into consideration that my car would be a daily driver, i don't need to have a sore ass from all the bumps.
