Megan Racing Coilover Sleeve Kit

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=390027613095

Has anyone tryed this setup?

Im breaking my head trying to figure out what im going to do for suspension, i want coilovers for the adgustabillity but i think for the price of a good sleeve kit and shocks i might as well get something like this (below)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...1%7C240%3A1318

or this (looks a lil cheap IMO)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...1%7C240%3A1318

and this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...1%7C240%3A1318

i know i should save the extra couple hundred and get a tien basic kit but i just want a smooth ride with the option to rais/lower the car when i want to. and if i keep the cost down i can get a poly bushing kit too... any insight would help, thanks.

yea it was a group buy about a couple months ago. i believe they were doing like 6 sets..search, idk if its still up? as long as they haven't sold all the sets then the price should still be $650

^it wasn't a group buy exactly. It was a discounted price offered to us first genners by Excelerate who is an acurazine vendor, who got a great deal on the sets from k-sport and decided to pass the savings on to us.

it says one set left, but that was a month ago

My buddy has Skunk2s in his Civic. The ride is pretty good, maybe a little softer than my D2s.

When you're lowered it will never ride as good as stock. If you want to go low and still have decent ride look in to the higher-end Teins.

So, after dreading my 4x4 for months, i decided to get these

had my mechanic install them today for 80$. even though he had 2guys working on it for over 3hours, he didn't bitch about it because i knew him for a long time. The reason why it took them so long was because my stock struts were so bad and they had a hard time adjusting the height. So the final product ended up like this:

Front: 2finger gaps

Rear: raised to max but stock shocks were obviously dead. Stayed at 1finger gap(gotta wiggle it around to go in) no matter what.

So afterwards i went home. went for a drive. picked up a buddy for some opinion. On straight, near perfect roads the ride felt like stock. But when there is a dip, or bump, or crack, or whatever you can think of, the car bounces like a pogo stick. At least i won't fall asleep driving to work in the morning? ahah. I should've listened and did it right the first time. I thought these would at least last me a month, didn't know my struts were that bad.

After i dropped my friend off, i went home and ordered these:

From ebay

Hopefully its going to give me the ride i want. But the drop with the megan coilover sleeves looks great nonetheless. sorry for dirty cellphone pix. try to take some more tomorrow, while i wait for them k-sports!

EDIT: sadly i still can't comment on how these megan coilover sleeves perform. i wonder if people would buy these kinda used?

Your car shouldn't bounce around as much after the coils settle a bit. My car did the same thing right after the installation.

Wouldn't you want to get some high quality struts to go with those anyway for failure reasons?
