Maxxim Wheels?

I am going to get new wheels for the CL soon and I am looking at almost every option I can find. One that I have found in particular is the Maxxim Vigor. They seem to be a good looking wheel and they are a true 4x114.3 lug pattern, not unilug. Has anyone had Maxxim wheels or knows anyone that has/ had them? i would think that since they are made by Konig, they would be pretty good. Thanks

They remind me of racing hart C2's, which a ton of members have had on their CL's

Help With Wheels!

I know I asked about Maxxim wheels in another section, but that didn't really pertain to other wheels much. Anyway, I am getting things for my CL and something that would be nice to get but not really needed immediately are some new wheels. My stock wheels are stained, scraped, and don't look too good. I am pretty much down to 3 options but I am still open to other options. One is the Maxxim Vigor. They are 17-inch and are great since they are a true 4x114.3 lug pattern. Another is the Motegi Racing FF7. Again, 17-inch wheel and a 4x114.3 bolt pattern. Just has a different spoke pattern (7 solid spokes instead of split 7) and has a center cap over the lugs. Option three is the Drag DR-34. Looks similar to stock and price is about the same. Only problem is the lugs, since its a unilug pattern. I am not a fan of unilug since I will have empty holes being shown all the time. Mesh pattern does look pretty good on the CL though. Probably leaning towards the Maxxims. Stupid 4-lug pattern . Thanks

If you didn't mind the unilug design, i'd say go for the drag wheels, I think they'd look good. Those or the 1st set of maxxims would look good (with a drop of course)

the drag are nice, but I'm really not a fan of unilug. As for the drop, not really looking to do that. Wanna keep the car pretty stock. That, and New Jersey roads aren't very kind to wheels or suspensions lol

I drive through NY and NJ all the time and my car is dropped, with a mild drop it wouldn't be too much of a difference and it would compliment the wheels a lot better, and still have a stock ride feel.

Oh. I thought it would be a pretty bad idea. Anyway though, a part time job and paying insurance for a new driver probably won't allow much room for a full suspension change =\. And going back to the beginning of the thread, those Racing Hart wheels look amazing, if only they weren't 1k+ on ebay

i am on a really low budget. like im trying to get all for wheels for like $500 absolute max. like the Vigors are $460 and the Drag were about the same price. found some other Rotas and a set of Verdes to consider. if only Acura didn't use the 4x114.3 lug pattern, it would have been so much easier and cheaper to get rims

meh there are older 240's and some other cars with the same pattern, just got to look for awile to find something you like
i'm trying to get a set right now but have been searching for a good set off and on for quite a few months
and there are quite a few older jdm wheels that are dual 4 and 5 x114.3 which is a much more common pattern among cars
good luck with your search
if you are considering used wheels
you may want to check out zilvia . net (without the spaces), they have some good deals on used wheels there from time to time

I've heard of them before, the wheel actually looks good. Usually they're responsible for creating huge, chrome wheels from what i've seen.

has anyone ever seen a unilug solution as to cover up the extra holes? i see quite a few nice sets of wheels online, but a large majority of them are all unilug. i just really hate the look of having extra holes in my wheels. otherwise i think those giovanni wheels are the way to go

I really don't mind the look of the extra holes, but it really depends on the rim if it pulls it off or not, I've never seen a solution, but I"m sure you could fashion up some caps or something, I have 4 lug universal and I'm just going to rock them.

I found the right wheels. The Sport Edition CE wheels at tirerack.com are a good price, the size I want, and are the price I want
