VVME HIDs

Hello everyone! First time actually posting since I've joined a long time ago (as you can see...) I've mostly been ghosting because almost all the info needed is already posted. Anywho, for those of you who bought HIDs from VVME, did you have any problems hooking it up? I bought a set from them and they actually aren't powering up. I don't hear the ballasts getting any power when hooked to my CL or to my 2006 Camry but it did work when I hooked it up to my friend's BMW. So I'm just wondering what could be the problem. It's the 35W standard kit on the website. Would getting a relay harness fix the problem?

i bought the same kit you did.
Try flipping the plugs 180 degrees, like where you are plugging into the factory female connector try it in the way that you think is right, then flip the plug and try it that way too.
I had the same problem with mine when i hooked them up for the first time.

Did you have to sand down the tab to plug it in upside down or did you just shove it into the stock harness?

i sanded it down a bit as i recall.
better tool to use would be one of those big metal files, would take it off a lot faster than sanding.
but i believe mine was still a little cockeyed when i plugged it in, can't remember the exact details as i did this probably 2 years ago... but they still work perfect, no problems, except some sort of burn marks on the top of the ballasts, again, i don't really care that much:teef: and mine have been through some pretty good abuse, bone jarring (and wheel bearing destroying) bumps, water, and extreme temperatures... for the price, i sure can't complain

Thanks mitch for all your help. I haven't tried it yet because I'm still down at school but I'll definitely give it a try and let you know how it goes during spring break in a few weeks. Thanks again!
