I just bought my first car, a 1998 Acura 2.3 CL and I absolutely love it. It drives amazing, looks amazing, and just...is AMAZING. I did however get it from a private seller for pretty cheap because he had the rear and front bumper replaced. Now my dad and I took it to two mechanics, one for the mechanical, and the other for body. Both said it was in great condition and we got it for a great price. But lately when I'm on the highway going from 65-85 (havn't gone faster) there is a low - high pitch "wooing" noise, that dosen't sound like it should be going. It's concerning me a little bit because I treat this car as I would my own son so if anyone has any suggestions on what it could be, how to fix it, etc. I would really really appreciate it. auto's take all the fun out for the 2.xxx, as for the sound it can come from anywhere. i had a friend who got into a small fender bender and is side mirror came close to coming out. now it sound like he has a turbo and nobody wants to mess with him. But anyways, check you windows to see if its going off the tracks. But like i said it can be anywhere.

Alright I will, it sounds like it's coming from the engine, and I can feel the car sort of vibrating when my foots on the pedal.

Just scan through the engine. look for any leaks in the hoses. do a little bending.

STL+3.0CL

Describe the sound with a little more detail, compare it to something. If your driving and you hear it, punch on the gas and see if it gets louder. That would narrow it down to air intake or throttle body. Are there any CEL lights?

The sound is identical to the sound that a glass bottle makes when you blow on the top. A "Wooing" noise. It seems to start at around 70-80mph and dosen't stop with speed decrease. It does get slightly louder with speed increase though. And there are no CEL lights.

BTW what is Throttle Body?

It was a used CL so there are a few scrapes and scrathes, but I just got the windows tinted, 24%in front and 6% in back, it looks awesome >.<
