hey does anyone know how to disconnect the siren on a 97 acura CL 3.0. There was a way to disconnect a wire or something that allows you to lock your doors, without activating the alarm. The problem with my acura is awhile ago i posted about how my alarm would go off randomly when th doors were locked manually or with the remote. So now i don't lock the doors at all, so i need to disconnect the siren/alarm so i can at least lock my doors. I think you disconnected a wire on the drivers side under the front tire, but i can't find the how to on it....this is the factory alarm so all i wanna do is be able to lock my doors but disarm the siren/alarm, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I'd be interested in this as well. The siren is too loud for how close I am to my neighbors when I use my remote to unlock the doors. I'd rather it was silent with just the lights flashing.

Screwed around with the alarm/keyless entry last night, and found something in the owner's manual that cured my issue. If you hold down the trunk release button and then hit the unlock button, it toggles the alarm from either audible to silent or silent to audible (owner's manual, pages 65-67). Worked like a charm on mine. Now I just have the parking lights flash when I lock or unlock the doors.

works for all years? and do u press lock before trunk opens or after. I would do it myself, but my car is still in the shop.

Not sure about the years, but press them both at the same time. LED will flash either once or twice, showing enabling of the audible or silencing it. If you do it right, the trunk shouldn't open.
