Hey Guys,
While cleaning my 1997 3.0 CL engine bay today, I noticed that my throttle body hose leading to the Purge Solenoid had broken off. Acura told me its 160$ part and I'm reluctant to spend that if I don't have too. I have been trying to search for the part but having some troubles. I know our j301 is compatible to honda accord 98-02 v6 but is that also in regards to this type of solenoid w/ electrical sensor? Also, is this part called a Canister Purge Solenoid? Would help out on my search and sorry if it's a little Noobed out, First Time Threader, Long Time CL'ER! Thank you!

Here ya go...a website with a diagram and part numbers.http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net/...s=&view=normal.
From what you describe it sounds like your talking about #3 on the diagram 36165-P8A-A00 TUBE, PURGE which is a $10~ part. However there is also another part from a diff website 17723-SS8-A00 HOSE, PURGE REGULATOR RETURN which may be what you need ($20). And the actual purge control solenoid valve is a $100-150 part.

I think I'm gonna have to buy the whole Solenoid (part 1)... The adapter coming off the PCS that hose 3 connects onto broke off the Solenoid (adapter going at a 90" angle. It's a clean break, can I get some strong appoxy and cement it back on, or would this be likely to do damage my engine in the future if not running properly. Do not know much about this valve and its operations. 161,000 miles and running hard! Thanks for replies and help bRUN!
