Programming Alarm

hey all

last night my remote got washed in the washing machine..my chick put in my pants and didnt check the pockets...

well the remote lights still blink when buttons are pushed so i guess thats ok BUT i cant get it to unlock/lock the doors now..luckily i can get in the car and start it still..

is there a easy quick trick to making it work again (without screwing myself and disabling the engine etc etc???)

thanx all

this can be closed...

cleaned out remote well...and followed these instructions and it worked...also my radio kept going into lock mode but just put in password and all is good now..

1. Start with your key in your right hand and any remote in your left hand. Keep all additional
remotes easily accessible to your left hand. Insert the key into the ignition.

2. Perform these steps within 5 seconds.

* a. Turn the ignition to the ON position (where the instrument panel lights are turned on without
starting the engine.)
* b. Press the UNLOCK button on the remote and release.
* c. Turn the ignition back to LOCK (the position where the key is inserted) and leave the key in
the ignition.
* d. Turn the ignition to the ON position (where the instrument panel lights are turned on
without starting the engine.)
* e. Press the UNLOCK button on the remote and release.
* f. Turn the ignition back to LOCK (the position where the key is inserted) and leave the key in
the ignition.
* g. Turn the ignition to the ON position (where the instrument panel lights are turned on
without starting the engine.)
* h. Press the UNLOCK button on the remote and release.
* i. Turn the ignition back to LOCK (the position where the key is inserted) and leave the key in
the ignition.

3. Within 5 seconds turn the ignition to ON.

4. Press the UNLOCK button on the same remote and release. The power door locks will cycle to
confirm the system is in programming mode.

5. Within 10 seconds press the UNLOCK button on the same remote again and release. The door
locks will cycle to confirm that the system accepted this remote.

6. Repeat step 5 for second or third remotes.

7. Turn the key back to LOCK and remove from ignition to exit programming mode.
