OEM 97 Acura CL 3.0 fog light install FEMALE PLUG
So I purchased a set of oem fog lights off ebay last week and took my car to a shop to have them installed. They can not find the female connector along the firewall in the engine bay. I really need some help to let them know where it is so that I can get these things installed. I saw a picture where the female connector is behind the master cylinder on a previous post I had started. However, the mechanic can not find them. Does anyone have any ideas as to where this part may be or can post a simple install guide in terms of wiring the oem fogs. Thanks for all your help with the fog lights CL owners. I am almost there and can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I have this picture as a reference for the mechanic, but he can not find the plug. Do i have to take something off to loosen it or what do I need to do to free this plug so he can plug in the wires that came with the fog set.

Not sure, mine came from the factory and the plugs come out right in front of the condenser, I never traced them any further back

i did this install myself and I'm trying to think back. I believe it is taped in with blue? tape as part of a larger harness. you literally just have to remove the tape and the female connector is there. i do have a 99 2.3 so idk if that makes a difference

Finally Fog Lights
OK so I figured it out. On my 97 Acura cl 3.0 the female harness along the firewall is located on the driver side on the top right of the firewall if your looking at the engine bay,"in frustration." It is taped to the throng of wires coming out on that side. The throng of wires are coming out of the firewall from the fuse plate that sits under the driver side knock-out plate by the brake pedal. This connector is directly connected to the fog light switch next to the shifter. It will only turn the fogs lights on, in order to get power you can find the other harness or plug directly into the battery like I did. I finally have fog lights, posting a picture now. If you have a 97 acura cl 3.0 remember that the 03 Honda Pilot fog lights will work with out cars. The only thing you need is the plate that screws onto the back of the fog light so that you can then mount to the bumper of our cars. PM me with any ?'s and 97BlackackCL and bRunCL i appreciate you guys continuously replying to my fog light posts.

I have a set of fogs mounted on the car, but they're hooked up to some stupid Pilot brand wireless system that I lost the remote for. They still have power directly from the battery, would I be able to wire them in through this plug, and have an OEM switch to operate them? Car is a 99 3.0, btw.

Mine came with my car as a factory option, they're a discontinued part but I've seen the OEM ones around from time to time, there's also this kit that look similar to the OEM
