newb..

Whats up fellas i just got my 97 cl and im new to the forums and I saw this was the section for problems and fixes..........
I got a basic problem with my car and was looking for some input on it.

My cl has a brand new radiator in it but it still seems to get hot. My 1st thought was to replace the thermostat. Any suggestions??

Make sure the system coolant level is full. When the new radiator was installed, the coolant must be replaced and air bled from system. If not, the coolant level will be low and overheating will occur.

If coolant level is good, then thermostat is highly likely to be your probem. An OEM thermostat works much better than aftermarket; faster warm up time and more precise temperature control.

good luck
