ignition failure recall question

hey .....i need some advise from you guys.

i haven't been on here for about 2 years but i had to log on because my 98 has an ignition problem. i looked up similar stories of ignition failures and random shutting off while driving which is what happens to me. i noticed that there was a recall two years ago so i contacted my local Acura dealer and they told me i was to late to take advantage of the recall. my question is... can i still take advantage of the recall even though it was issued 2 years ago or am i SOL and should suck it up and pay out of pocket??? thankx

you need to check and see if it has already been fixed, if it has already been fixed they will not fix it again. If it hasn't it shouldn't matter how long ago the recall was if they made a recall they should have to replace it
