HI ALL!!! im new... couple of questions bout my CL
i have recently bought a 98 CL 2.2 5 spd... after my 98 integra got stolen... anyways... i love the car... got a great deal on it.....hopefully you guys can help me out with some issues im having...... the "check engine" light is constantly on.... the car seems to have a stutter or hesitation from about 2,000 RPM to 3,000 RPM.. once over 3,000 RPM it clears up and runs smooth... any ideas??? also the check engine light blinks around 2,500 RPM but if i accelerate it stops blinking...... finally if i let go of the gas and let the car slow down while in gear it makes a vibrating sound around 2,250 RPM... i thought it was the front motor mount but i replaced it and the vibration is still there...... if you guys have any helpful ideas i appreciate it..
thanx

go to autozone and rent a OBD reader and get a readout, then check and see what it says.
Also, check out the NOOB guide, it'll answer a lot of questions for you ( so you dont have to ask )
welcome to the fold,

correct me if i'm wrong
U said that you bought a 98 2.2CL. That would be impossible because they only made the 2.2 in 97 in 98 they switched to the 2.3L engine and changed it to 2.3CL. I have no idea what to tell you about the rest of your problems but I just wanted to point out that either you bought a 97 or you have a 2.3.

Few questions...
I got an oil change today and they brought it back with a few problems...
Now, I know/think that shops usually will find stuff thats wrong... maybe even make stuff up but does any of this stuff sound legit/like a big problem... and are there any ways for me to diagnose it myself and/or do you have any advice... also how much is reasonable for all that stuff to cost...
Both Front Axle Boots Cracked...
Oil pan gasket (I'm not leaking any oil in my driveway... maybe for this its not visible or doesnt fall to the ground ?)
Front Motor mount -bushing bad...

All three problems are legit.
I recently replaced the front axle assembly (cracked, oil/stuff leaking). The problem is more prominent if your car is lowered/ more stress is imposed on the suspension.
The oil pan gasket prob seems feasible since gaskets do go bad after a while.
The motor mount bushing problem i also had experienced. The bushings from 3 of the 4 mounts cracked, it's not hairline cracks but big, gapping line cracks... replaced all 4 for $800. If you step on the gas (car in park) and you see the engine "jumps" or move quite a bit in the compartment, then your mounts might be bad...

Well, I do have a 2.2 also... (he might be right...) how much would one be?

Axle: don't know, i let my step dad took the car to the guy he knows to fix it. Free!
Gasket: Haven't experienced that, but if there is oil/gunk (not dirt) build up around the oil pan then it's probably leaking.
Mounts: Dunno, check with acuraautomotive.org or acuraoemparts.com for prices since they are usually cheapest anywhere. You can also ask any autoparts shop for a quote. They are usually not cheap ($100+). I was in need of the car so i got raped with that price...
