Engine fluctuates from 1200 to 2000 rpm on idle
Hi guys!
I have a 97 CL 3.0 and I found myself stumped with this issue. I read back through the threads and found that the problem could be the IAC, so I changed that. After that didn't work I changed the TPS and the MAP to no avail. The engine runs fine above 2000, no loss of power or faulty VTEC (apparently). On idle it fluctuates every couple of seconds, but if the engine is cold it will start at 1200 (what seems to be the normal rpms for a cold start) and then slowly accelerate to around 2000 before it starts fluctuating. I cannot maintain it below that before putting it in gear. Once I put it in gear it idles at around 1200, and If I turn on the AC it drops down to the point that it almost dies out.
I've been checking and I found no vacuum leaks so far. There was a screw with an O ring that was loose on the Fuel Injector Pressure Regulator head, but I tightened that and the problem remains. I pulled the intake manifold and I saw that it was a little bit greasy inside, but that's probably from the EGR.
I really don't know what to do now, any ideas?
Thank you!

Your Girlfriend is in my
I was gonna say check for any codes being thrown around (I.E Bad O2, failed cat, etc) to see if that could help narrow your problem down.
