Egr Flow problem..fixed everything to no avail. Help please!
I have the inefficient egr flow code on my 99 Acura CL. It has 240,000 miles on it, but runs great. I have took the following steps to get this code off, and nothing seems to work. First I seafoamed the car to no avail. Next I replaced the egr valve to no avail. Next I removed the intake and cleaned the EGR port(it was clogged pretty bad). I thought this might take care of the problem, but after reconnecting my battery and driving about 5 miles, it came back on. I am at a loss, any ideas of what it could be? Thanks for your help. I also replaced the PCV Valve just incase it was an issue.

The light has been on for a couple of months. One of the suggestions at the parts store was vacume line leaking or clogged. But I am not sure which lines are the vacume lines or which one will effect the egr flow.I know where the PCV vacume line is, thats about it.

There are no lines that come off the egr valve that I see. I am wondering if the plug that goes into the egr valve is bad. I am assuming I can just check it with a multi meter. All the lines around the motor that are visible seem OK. Stumping me right now. Thanks for your help PC! Much appreciated.

Yea........I got nothing! Plug seems to be working just fine, I might have to take it in and get it looked at! NOT what I wanted to do! Anyone else have any ideas about which vacume hose could cause egr flow to be bad?? Computer maybe?? Is there a celanoid some where?? Fuse?? Any ideas/thoughts on this matter?

how does it run if you dont mind me asking? rough idle? if so; get some brake clean from an auto parts..whilee the car is runnin spray just a little around vac hoses..listen for change in idle..fluctuation and so forth.. check that vacumn hose if it sounds like it affected it.
