Cracked block? Bad intake manifold gasket?
Cracked block? Bad intake manifold gasket?
Hi Everyone, long time lurker, first time poster and just want to say that I've learned alot from you guys so I'm hoping I can find some kind of information out.
Anyways, I have a 1999 2.3CL 5-speed with 113,000 miles. The car sat in my garage for 6 months while I was on deployment (being started about once a month for 20-30 minutes each time) so when I returned and drove it for the first time after being back I took it slow. Well I haven't had ANY kind of trouble with it whatsoever running-wise. I decided to check my fluids, oil was a little lower than I left it but clean, but when I checked the coolant it was dirty murky and creamy colored (indicating a head gasket failure) so I replaced almost every gasket in my engine to try and fix the problem. Well the car runs better than ever but it's still getting oil in the coolant. I don't have ANY problems with overheating and I never have since I bought the car about 1 1/2 years ago. I am going crazy with what it could be... I am fearing it's a cracked block but I wanted to get some insight.
Overview:
*Never had an overheating issue since I've boughten it. I've put about 15,000 miles on it since buying it.
*oil is getting into the coolant but there is NO coolant in my oil.
*replaced almost every gasket in engine, and did cooling system flush and replaced every hose.
*still getting oil in coolant...
I'm pretty worried so if anyone could help I'd be VERY appreciative!
