Coolant leak

I noticed it has been wet by the thermostat area and towards the back of the engine. There is no coolant below the car. My thermostat, water pump, and head gasket were all replaced in feb. most of the heater hoses were changed early last year. My mechanic said that the hose by the side of the engine is corroded and that's what is causing the leak. And he also told me that in order to het to that certain hose, the whole motor would have to be taken out to get to it. The leak is only occurring while under pressure and when I had to top off my coolant last week, it wasn't much. I just wanted to get a second opinion on this cuz I'm hoping its probably just a heater hose they didn't get to and gone bad. I will try and get pics of it just to give a visual.

Wait, he said your engine has to come out because of a hose?

Yeah, that's what he told me. He said one of the hoses attached to the engine is corroded and in order to get to it, the motor has to be taken out. I'm starting not to trust his word on some things cuz I am now also having problems with my main relay, as the car will not start when it is really hot and when parked under the sun, and he told me it's most likely ignition control module. I am pretty certain that it is the main relay because I have had this same issue on other honda's I've owned and when he plugged in the scanner to see why the CEL was on, nothing about the ignition control module popped up and only the same reason being the EGR valve.

Ok, so I'm thinking that my mechanic is maybe thinking that the heater core inlet on the side of the engine is corroded. Is this possible? When I looked at the leak the other day, I saw where is was leaking from and I'm hoping that it's just the hose that has gone bad. Does the whole motor have to come out in order to get to this? From what I saw, it looked like it was just the distributor cap that needed to be removed in order to get to it. Has this happened to anyone else?

So I know which hose it is and it's the heater inlet hose. I actually felt the hose and a spot on the hose was definitely wet. The other problem I have been experiencing is that the radiator fan isn't coming on at times while the car is idling. Sometimes I hear the fan running and feel it turn on while I'm at a stop and sometimes it isn't coming on and the temp starts rising. This is already the 2nd radiator fan switch within the last year. I changed it this time last year and it was changed again back in February when the head gasket, water pump, and thermostat were changed out. The fan switch I currently have is a mishimoto which retails for a lot more than the OEM. Can the fan switch be going bad again? I already tested the relay and it's fine. And the fan is also pretty new, replaced in January. If it's the fan switch, I'm thinking to maybe go back to OEM if the mishimoto seems to last only 6 months every time.
