Turn the key and I get power to accessories, but the car wont turn over. I noticed the last couple days when starting it was sounding weak when starting. Friend of mine said it sounds like a starter. This sound right to anyone?

 

Any noises when you try to turn the car over?

 

If it's the starter you will hear it clicking but not turning over, also check your battery voltage and amps

Swing it by Autozone or Advance Auto, they can hook it up to a battery tester. If that's good ( which it sounds like the culprit, but...) try the starter.

 

do you still have power after trying to start the car?
if it started sounding weak, it might be your fuel pump going.

 

Another thing if you haven't figured it out already...

Just the other day my friends car wouldn't start and it was because the wire going to the negative terminal on the battery was loose... he could get power to his accessories but when he turned the key nothing happened.
