Accord compatible alternators?

hey guys,

I checked the FAQ section for 1st gen CL's...it doesn't give which model years of the Honda Accord are compatible with a 1997 CL 3.0 Premium?

After doing some tests, I'm pretty sure its the alternator that needs to be replaced.

**I want to price an alt at a scrapyard compared to buying one at a store like Canadian Tire, Napa autoparts, ect....trying to get find the best price.

As long as I know which model years of the accord will work then I can call the scrapyard, if they have 98 accord alternator, or a 2009, I assume the newer model will be better...I need to know the range, what years of the accord are compatible so I can tell the guy "i'm looking for an alternator for an accord between 1997 to ????, so he's not just searching for one model year. Thanks in advanced.

Noob guide says 12V 100A alternator. Get a remanufactured alternator that fits a J30A1 motor and be done with it. Just spend the hundred bucks and move on so that you can enjoy the car and/or get to work to pay for that fix
